I don’t know how to tell my mom that I don’t want to apply to a lot of ivies/top tier colleges. Yale, Princeton, Harvard… that’s just not where I want to be. That’s not where I see myself, and my chances are slim to none anyway.
That’s where my mom wants me to be. I don’t know how to explain to her how much I don’t want to go to any of these places. She just says I’m too scared of rejection, but the truth is, I’m not. I don’t belong there. I don’t dream of it. I don’t aim for it. I don’t want it.
